Yay! I've finally passed the Autumn (my first Autumn). As a tropical-bloody-girl, autumn became so special for me. You can't imagine how was I being too enthusiastic to enjoy the falling leaves. Taking pictures as much as I passed any park with yellow-brown trees. May be it was little excessive, but yeah, that's me. And that was my first Autumn! :D Some weeks before Autumn really gone, I and my classmate decided to take one free day to explore Istanbul together. We went to Galata tower, one of the chosen tourist destination in Turkey. Just payed 6 TL, we went up to the roof. This tower is 69 meters and was built in 528 years ago by Byzantium. And there was also a story about a Turkish called Ahmet Çelebi that flied from the roof with artificial wings and crossed the Bosphorus Strait for 6 km and landed in Üsküdar. Galata has amazing view from it's roof. The Strait looked like splitting Turkey into two part. I could see all Turkey with the Blue Mosque, Hağia Sophia, and Topkapı Palace stand in a row. And in the end of horizon there was a white line with fog closed the town. Because the weather was so cold, we decided to go down and walked through Gülhane Park, the park is exactly beside the Topkapı Palace. We just walked around, went to a cafe and order Sahlep. Sahlep is special drink when Winter near up. İt's made from milk with cinnamon's topping on it. Hot, melting, delicious, and the best drink in the middle of cold day. This exploring was closed by a walked to Kapalı çarşı, Grand Bazaar, one of the largest and the oldest covered market in the world which has 3000 shops inside and was visited 300.000 tourist daily. Can you imagine it?
So, if you come to Istanbul and not come to this market, it just like you never go to Turkey. Interested to visit? I am more interested in waiting the snow! :D
