In this post I just want to share a little fact about my name. I am JM. Vivi Violina. An ordinary girl from Indonesia recently studying in Turkey. Actually, since I was child everyone always had the same question about my name. What does JM means? And I kind of bored to answer all the questions. So, every time they asked, I'd always answer that was my father's name due to that's really my father's name. So, what's my answer? JM is my father's name. Jason Mraz! :D And after I answered everyone would has the same expression "(-_-)" ^.^ When I was in junior high school some of my friends also made a joke of JM. They said actually that!s "really" my father's name - Jaja Miharja - he was a dangdut singer of my country and if you ask me who is he? That he is... So, can you really compare Jason Mraz with Jaja Miharja? I can't!
The fact ofJM.. JM is actually my parent's initial name. J is for my Father and M is for my Mom. Unique? I know. :) Before I came to Turkey there was never any problem with the spell of the name. Everyone always called me Vivi (Fifi). But in Turkey I was called Wiwi. It's OK as long as they never make another joke for the name. Vivi actually is not Indonesian language, it is Latin. The meaning is 'Life'. And Violina comes from English word, Violin. So, in my full name there is no word from my own language. It's just look like, international! :D :D Sometimes the name also presents problem to me. Some people asked, "Why does your name not come from any Arabic. Are you a Moslem?" And I just, smiled. So, that's a little fact about my unusual Indonesian name. Have you got yours? Share with me... :)
